Kelsey and Rishi were married at Rishi’s parents house in Danville, CA on a hot August afternoon. They blended their two families together by hosting a beautiful Indian fusion intimate wedding; bringing together two parts of their worlds into one. They first held a simple, traditional western ceremony, Kelsey in her white wedding gown and Rishi dressed in his suit. They exchanged vows and rings and finished it off with a kiss.

Kelsey and Rishi both retreated to their rooms to change into their traditional Indian wedding outfits. When they were both ready, they headed upstairs again to begin the ceremony. It was pure magic. The intimacy of their wedding only added to the emotional pull of such an incredible moment in time.

After their ceremony, they changed back to their original wedding attire and we headed to a local park to take some family portraits. Everyone had such a wonderful time.

Kelsey and Rishi hung back with me while their families went back to the house to prepare for cocktails and dinner. We walked around the park and took some gorgeous photographs of them together. Back at the house, everyone enjoyed some incredible appetizers and drinks. Once dinner was served, Kelsey’s parents surprised her and Rishi with a beautifully written song. It was so overwhelming and personal. Kelsey and Rishi danced under the dusk sky and enjoyed the company of their closest people.

After dinner and some toasts, we gathered in the family room to watch a surprise video that Kelsey’s family had recorded for them. The tears flowed again and it was so moving to watch two people be enveloped wholly in love.

It was truly an honor to photograph this wedding. Despite so many setbacks with Covid, these two made the best of their day.
