There’s something absolutely magical about Filoli Estate that transforms an ordinary engagement session into an editorial dream. When I first met Raina and Brent, I knew their engagement session would be anything but boring. Raina’s stunning sari – a geometric black and gold masterpiece – perfectly complemented Brent’s sleek black Nehru suit. This created a look that was both sophisticated and deeply personal for them both.

Filoli Estate’s gardens gave us the most incredible backdrop for this engagement session. Elegant architectural elements and soft golden light came together to create images that felt more like a fashion spread than an engagement session. Each photograph captured not just their love, but their unique style. A beautiful blend of cultural heritage and modern romance.

I love how these images tell a story. The way Raina and Brent look at each other, the subtle touches, the matching sunglasses. It’s intimate and real, just the way I like it. The geometric patterns of her sari echoed the structured landscape, the soft shadows stretching across the perfectly trimmed lawn – every element felt intentional, and yet effortless.

The connection that Raina and Brent share was palpable – a mix of playful intimacy and quiet understanding that speaks to a deep, meaningful relationship. It was an honor to be able to photograph them together (2 times!). From the way Brent gently adjusted Raina’s sari, every moment felt like a carefully choreographed yet completely natural dance.

Filoli Estate continues to be one of the most breathtaking locations for sessions, and one of my personal favorites. I truly feel like this session is a perfect example of how the right couple can transform a beautiful location into something truly extraordinary no matter what their vision is.
